In my absense, Google has bumped up my ranking under the term “Tom Waits” to page two of their listing and with the term “Tom Waits Blog” to the top of the list. I find it a little weird since I haven’t updated this site for such a long time. However, that does explain the flood of email I’ve been recieving. Not to beat a dead horse, but it does feel good to know that people are reading this thing.
Broadway performer Luba Mason will be performing at least one Tom Waits song in her show at Masquer’s Cabaret in New York City on Thursday evenings through March 10th:
Also expect songs by modern composers such as Van Morrison’s “Moondance,” Lou Reed and Ruben Blades’ “The Calm Before The Storm”, Johnny Nash’s “I Can See Clearly Now” and Tom Waits’ “Take Me Home.”

Over the past month, I’ve received about 10 personal emails from people requesting that I start this service again. Well, who am I to argue with the public. So, I’m back in the news service. Please send me any articles, updates, rumors you receive and I’ll be glad to post them. You can reach me at nathan[at no spam]radicalwacko.com.
The news has been a bit light as of late. As far as I can tell, the US concert is off. We were supposed to get some news about dates after the New Year, but still nothing. Hopefully, they are just working out the details, but I’m starting to lose hope.
Also, while Tom Waits was up for another Grammy this year however, he didn’t win. Well, there’s no accounting for taste. However, he did win a Plug Independent Music Award.
That’s the really short update list. Please check back and I promise to post the news as it comes in.
